30-40 mmHg

These socks are often prescribed to provide relief from moderate to severe edema, varicose veins, and deep vein thrombosis. They’re also prescribed for post-sclerotherapy and to heal active venous stasis ulcers. This level of compression should only be worn under a doctor’s supervision.

Needs improvement

"The fabric of these knee high stockings is soft, smooth and fairly thin and the compression seems good. What I don’t like is that they slide down an inch or two throughout the day. For the price of these stockings I am disappointed and will try something different in the future."

The Best

"I love the service I get at Bright Life Direct! Whether I call them on the phone or make my order online, I am always happy with the results. My shipment comes quickly and completely. The color of the stockings are exactly what is shown on my screen and that's what I want. The compression is just right and it really lasts wash after wash. Thank you Bright Life Direct!"

"I love these socks. They fit well and are comfortable to wear. I will be placing another order shortly and I'm going to try the laundry bag as well."

A good decision

"I had been searching for an alternative to the men's Mediven socks I used to wear that are no longer offered in short. (I am female.) I've settled on this Sigvaris product and am satisfied. The socks are comfortable despite my considerable lymphedema. They are a little longer than I would like and they cut in at the ankle and knee by the end of the day, but I can re-adjust them. Soft is a good word for this style as the material feels very pleasant to the touch and the socks are reasonably easy to put on and take off. I machine wash them on a normal cycle, but in a lingerie bag; then I hang them to dry. One of the best things about this style is the Graphite color, which goes quite well with black, brown or navy pants."

Size matters

"As a petite female, it has been very difficult to find compression stockings that fit. The SS size that Sigvaris offers is one of the few that fit. I've tried Jobst, Juzo, and Sigvaris. The petite size for Jobst is too long. Juzo's petite size does fit, but the color and selection is very limited. Their beige does not even come close to matching my skin color. I am very happy with the color and size of the Sigvaris stockings. What else can I ask for? Stronger compression. I've used 30-40mmHg stockings in all three brands I mentioned above. Of the three, Jobst has the strongest, and Sigvaris is the weakest. The other negative about Sigvaris is that it seems to develop runs and pulls easier than the other two brands. Despite that, I do have to wear compression stockings for life, so I've decided that fit and comfort trumps compression and durability."

Sigvaris-The Best Compression Stocking

"I have severe lipodema in both legs. These stockings work great. They are easy to get off and on, and they retain their shape when you wash them."
