Q&A

breathability vs. velcro-type compression garments?
This is made from meryl, lycra and polyurethane and all are breathable materials. Velcro is also breathable. Thank you
is this better or worse than regular velcro-strap lymphedema garments for skin prone to hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating)? would a layer of two of porous stockinette make Caresia more breathable and less likely to induce sweating? when my skin sweats: I suffer both aquagenic urticaria (hives rash) due to mast cell activation syndrome and skin maceration (breakdown into wet sludge of individual skin cells) due to underlying connective tissue disorder (atypical Ehlers Danlos Syndrome associated with "tenascin deficiency" -- lacking sticky protein tenascin in "intracellular matrix" which is the glue between cells that hold them together to form a tissue... as tissues form organs, there are abnormalities in many internal organs/ducts/vessels including kidney-ureter reflux, unsealed atrial wall in heart, & *Chronic Venous Insufficiency* resulting in blood pooling (veins too stretchy) and *edema* (veins too porous). Details for your customers with unexplained edema -- to ask docs.
We are not doctors. Please ask your doctor if the product will work for your situation. The only thing we will ask you if you are working with a doctor when you order compression levels of 30-40 or 40-50 because they are high compression levels. Thank you
