SilverSeal X-Static Component is a non-compressive tubular bandage. It's used as the first layer under wrapping, and acts as a protective barrier between the skin and short-stretch bandages. It can also be worn under night wear garments like Tribute or JoVi Pak.
With an impaired lymphatic system, there is an increased risk of skin conditions and infections. Scratches and cracks in the skin allow bacteria to enter the body, which can lead to cellulitis or lymphangitis. Silver is naturally antimicrobial, and eliminates potentially harmful bacteria. Silver is also one of the most thermally conductive elements on the planet, so it dissipates heat very quickly to keep you cool. It's also very efficient at wicking moisture from the skin.
SilverSeal X-Static Tubular is made from 90% cotton and 10% X-Static fibers, is reusable, and washable.
Available in four diameters: 2, 3, 4, and 6 inches
Packaged in 25 yard rolls, BrightLife also offers cut lengths of 1, 2, and 3 yards

silverseal ttubular, April 29, 2018 By Levon (Howell)(Verified)
My Farrowwrap cause terrible itching on my legs for days after wear even with the stockings under them. My lymphedema therapist recommended silverseal tubing as an initial underwrap and it has relieved the itching problem so that i can now wear the compression wraps. Brightlife has excellent customer support and decent prices with quick shipping. I recommend them to anyone requiring lymphedema garments and supplies.
Silverseal X-Static Tubular Stocking 3 yards, December 30, 2016 By Lorri Smith (Arlington, WA)
I had a stocking sent with my Farrow wraps but it was not cotton & didn't breathe so purchased this nice open weave tube 3 yards & cut it. Will find out how it washes tonight (if it ravels to extreme or shrinks). The largest size would work for very large swelling, mine may be medium but they don't bother me being extra loose. Can't say the silver works as claimed but I have lots of itchy little blisters that often show up if bandages are too tight from poor lymph circulation. Nothing helps except to remove or loosen stockings, waistband, bra or ? that might be tight. Blisters have to be kept un-infected which silver is supposed to do! Good so far.
This works good to have between my leg and my farrow wrap. I do not know if the silver helps with keeping down the potential for infection but studies show that it does so I will keep using. I ordered the six inch size because I have a very large calf but even so it was too big so order a size smaller when you get this
Silver stockinette, August 9, 2013 By Anonymous (Eugene, OR)
After two episodes of cellulitis in my lymphedema arm, my therapist recommends this product. It is no different in texture, comfort, feel, or washing ease than regular stockinette. I am hopeful the silver in the fabric will prevent future infections.
