Comfort Plus sizes are designed to fit individuals with large hips, and are ideal for maternity wear.
Small Plus hip circumference: 44.5" - 56"
Medium Plus hip circumference: 50.0" - 62"
Large Plus hip circumference: 59.5" - 70"
1) Measure the circumference of your ankle at the narrowest point, calf at the widest, and around your upper thigh. Compare these measurements to the size chart to determine your size.
2) Measure the length of your leg from the floor to the crease of your buttocks, to see if you are a short or long length.
3) Measure the circumference of your hips. If they are within the ranges above for your size, order Plus. If they fall below the ranges for Plus, order the regular Comfort pantyhose.
The knit construction of the panty makes the fabric very stretchable and forgiving in the abdominal section. Double-covered spandex yarns, non-binding elastic waist band, reinforced heel, and cotton gusset add to their comfort and durability. This is an excellent choice for people with poor hand strength or limited range of motion. Made from 64% nylon and 36% spandex in USA.
PLUS does NOT equal MATERNITY - Beware!, September 27, 2013 By Melanie (Indianapolis, IN)
I purchased this pantyhose because my previous Sigvaris pantyhose was similarly labeled, although notably missing any "Plus" size indicator. I happily (well, sorta, how happy can you be tugging these things on every day?) wore my maternity Sigvaris tights during my last pregnancy, and needed to get a replacement for my second pregnancy (I'm at about 24 weeks, veins are BAD, 35 years old). What I learned was that Sigvaris is now pushing these "Plus" tights off as if they were maternity tights, too. They are not. They are much too loose for my legs, beginning at the calf. With some help from this site's customer service, I have ordered a Medi Comfort Maternity pair of tights, which I am hopeful will do the trick. I wish this site and Sigvaris were clearer about why this is the only high-waisted type of tights that is available now. I have to eat the cost of a return as a result.
