This open toe thigh high is designed for both men and women. The knit construction makes the fabric very stretchable and forgiving which makes this sock easy to don and easy to wear. A silicone beaded grip-top keeps these thigh highs comfortably in place. Double-covered spandex yarns add to their comfort and durability. This is an excellent choice for people with arthritis or limited hand strength. Made from 69% nylon and 31% spandex in USA.

Appearance Is Great But Not Much Compression Above the Knee, December 15, 2016 By Ellaine (Tracy, CA)(Verified)
I liked the appearance of the sheer Sigvaris so much that I ordered Sigvaris Comfort. Again I was pleased with the appearance. They look natural on your leg and are easy to put on. But my problem with the brand is the lack of compression above the knee. One of the stockings was a lot looser than the other. I wish I had returned them. After a couple of months the tops of the hose were really stretched out of shape. I weigh 118 so my thighs aren't that large. Thankfully I was prepared with It Stays glue, which is wonderful. Next time I am going to order another brand.
sigvaris open toe thigh high 20-30mmhg, December 17, 2015 By dorothy karp (roswell, GA)
These are the easiest I have found to put on and take off. The thigh area is proportioned so that they do not constrict the thigh. I am very satisfied with these hose. I just wish they weren't so expensive.
Great Fit, November 27, 2015 By Anonymous (Schaumburg, IL)
This is the second pair of these support hose that I have ordered of this brand. I love them. The length of them fit me great. They don't slide down, even it my line of work. I do a lot of walking and kneeling. I will keep ordering these hose

sigvaris 862 open toe thigh high 20-30mmhg-unisex stocking, August 23, 2014 By Anonymous (tucson, AZ)
Good compression, but on an active person, the stocking slips down, even when just walking, I have to pull up the stockings frequently. That is my only complaint.
retired public school teacher, December 17, 2013 By Anonymous (Manhasset, NY)
The thigh high are very comfortable. They stay up and do not irritate my skin where the silicone beads are. The stockings partially cover my smaller toes which is fine. Because my 2nd toe is longer than my big toe regular stockings have a tendency to pinch which is why I switched to the open toe style. I am almost 80 and very active. Sigvaris is my favorite brand.
easy to put on and the most comfortable, October 8, 2013 By Joan (Honeoye Falls, NY)
I had been trying many styles of compression stockings to find one I can live with. I am 5'3" and have heavy thighs. I have lymphedema in both my legs. These stockings are longer from the knee to upper thigh which I thinks helps them stay up. The material is soft and relatively easy to put on. I have shoulder issues so it has been a challenge to find a stocking that fits my leg & be able to put them on. They really are the most comfortable I have found. Definitely worth the price.
As Good As It Gets, September 20, 2013 By Anonymous (Los Gatos, CA)
Though medium to high level compression stockings, in general, would not be classified as comfortable, I would say the Sigvaris 862 open toe thigh highs are among the most comfortable of that genre. As is the case w/ all the compression stockings I've tried, getting them on is rather challenging, but once accomplished, the compression actually feels good. The silicone anti-slip dots at the top of the thigh portion do an amazing job of keeping the stockings from sliding down. The elastic around the toes doesn't make my feet feel like they're being crushed. I have tried other brands that use solid silicone stripes as opposed to dots at the top of the thigh. For some reason, I get a skin reaction to the silicone stripes (like I've been burned by them) but never to the Sigvaris dots. I would highly recommend this brand and style of compressions stockings.

This sock are very soft and stay in place all day. I highly recommend it because of the grip-top does not folds.I work standing all day and I sometimes forget that I'm wearing it.Try it...Mike..

These are extremely comfortable and easy to put on. They don't bind or slip down and the silicon dots don't grab and burn the skin like the hose with solid silicon bands. The Select Comfort line holds up well to daily wear and frequent laundering. I have to wear compression hose for the rest of my life and these are my preferred brand and style. Plus I like having my toes free and being able to wear flip-flops or other sandals during the warmer months to show off my pedicure!

I purchased these support hose for my mother who was having severe shooting pains in her legs due to varicose veins. Her pain was so bad it would wake her up at night and keep her awake for hours. Her Vascular M.D. recommended "elastic elevation & exercise". The "elastic" was in the form of 30-40mmHg compression stockings. The brand my mother chose was Sigvaris. Though it took several months to see results she no longer has the shooting pains in her legs and as an outside observer I can definitively say that when she removes her stockings at night her legs look 100% better than they have in years.
