soft and comfortable, July 13, 2015  By Indira Gesink (Berea, OH)
I had to wear the 30-40 compression 24 hours a day due to surgery. First I bought a cheaper pair, which were comfortable enough at first but began to dig into my thigh at the top and became intolerable for night wear. I ordered the Sigvaris cotton thigh highs, which are soft, especially after a washing, and do not constrict at the top of the thigh. My only concern is that they don't feel like they are delivering the compression they promise. They are the right size but don't feel tight and slip on easily without donning gloves.

I've had to wear 30-40 compression for lymphedema for over 8 years now and am sorry I waited so long to try these. I think they are the best fitting hose i've had plus they are super easy to get on and off and they feel good. Highly recommended. As always, great service from the staff at BrightLife.

This is the first compression stocking for me so I can't compare to other brands and I only just started wearing them so I can't comment on durability but the fit and feel is outstanding and they appear to be very well made. The Brightlife website is incredibly well designed and useful. The staff helped me understand the products I could use and find the one I'm referring to here and in the correct size. It was straight-forward and easy to use the resources they have available.

I have had to wear compression stockings on and off since I was 24 years old. I am now 55 years old and unfortunately have had to start wearing compression hose daily. These are by far the best compression hose I have ever owned. I absolutely dreaded wearing compression hose daily because from my past experience they were very stiff and very uncomfortable. I took a chance and ordered these hose about 5 months ago. From the first time I put them on they were actually comfortable and very very soft next to the skin because of the cotton lining. They are pliable and quite frankly pretty darn easy to put on. I wash them daily with a very mild soap and spin dry or line dry them. They are ready for use by the morning. The other feature I had to have was an open toe. Other hose make me feel constricted with the closed toe -- almost claustrophobic -- but not with these. I can wear them with my open toed shoes and when I wear them in the cooler months with my closed toe shoes I cut off the toe section of a pair of cotton socks and slip them over my toes so they are comfortable and have plenty of wiggle room. The thigh never falls down and is also extremely comfortable.
