Jobst Compression socks xl calf, December 4, 2017 By Linda (Coweta, OK)(Verified)
My son has vein problems and needed to wear compression socks. He has large calves, I tried several brands (which I had to return as they either didn't fit or were too hard to get on), before settling on this one. In spite of the high expense, they do wash and wear well and are so thick they last for years. I can recommend this style.
Jobst knee high athletic socks, July 20, 2017 By Gary Mikelson(Verified)
After trying another cheaper brand I decided to try the Jobst to compare. The ease of putting them on and taking them off is far better with the Jobst as well as the comfort during the day is also far better. Even though the cost is far greater I feel it is well worth it.

Jobs active 20-30mmHG athletic socks, January 31, 2015 By Jen (Gahanna, OH)
I hv a very large calves and thought I would never find a comfortable compression sock that let me be myself, active and stylish! Well I found them to fit and feel great! No one even notices that they are medical socks, just that I look great and feel great in them doing the things I love and helping me manage things in everyday life, like working on concrete and standing for 8-12 hrs a day multiple days in a row and still not feel like my legs are fatigued!! Incredible comfort and long lasting support!! Two thumbs up!!

Not impressed, January 6, 2014 By Dan P (Troy, IL)
Sorry to say I was not impressed at all with the specific pair I received. I wore them twice and the socks wouldn't stay up and kept falling down to my ankles.

This is the 4th pair of compression knee highs I have tried and these are the best ones. I bought a size M in white for my size 10-11 shoes size. These socks are well made comfortable stay up properly sized everywhere and I can put them on without gloves. It doesn't get any better than that and I will be buying these exclusively from now on.

Comfotable lots of toe room best I've tried! I will definitely order more of these as they are very comforable with sneakers/walking shoes. Recommend these over other brands I've used. They're long enough to go up to my knees-and I have very long legs.

Nicely padded sole -- stockings are a bit too wide in the foot area for my narrow foot -- The entire stocking seems to be generous in size so if you are "between" sizes the smaller size may fit better. Very satisfied with their quality so far.

I give these socks a 7/10.First the good. They're comfortable and I can wear them all day. They stay in place which is great. Now the bad. These socks are an outdated version of what ppl used to consider "athletic" socks 15-20 years ago. You know the kind of socks children would play soccer in (included myself when I was younger).Unfortunately these socks are thick hot and seem to do a poor job at wicking moisture away--everything you want in an athletic sock. And since they seem to retain moisture/sweat (rather than drawing it away; perhaps it's due to the cotton content) they get smelly quickly. If you are truly looking for socks to do high intensity activities in I would consider something else. I've actually found Jobst's cheaper Relief Knee Highs to be a much better option. For half the price you get a sock that's thinner breathable and does a better job at wicking moisture away. All in all these socks aren't bad for every day use. However if you're looking to do sports in these they're not the best.
These are the first…, June 20, 2010 By Anonymous (Port Orchard, WA)
These are the first compression socks I ever bought. They look and feel just the way I hoped they would. They're very comfortable and there's no way for other people to tell these are compression socks. They don't require special gloves to put on and they stay up without a problem. Since these are my first compression socks I can't compare the fit and compression with other brands at lower prices. I'll be curious to see how long these last before needing replacement. I made the mistake of washing them a couple of times using fabric softener and I hope I didn't ruin the effectiveness of the compression. As far as retailers are concerned I love that BrightLife Direct will ship the socks for free or for a minimal charge for a slightly faster delivery. This was a better deal than another site I checked and the sock prices were the same.I've just ordered Jobst dress and casual stockings and I'll review those and compare them with these socks later on. But I'm sold on these Active Athletic Socks and will continue to order these.

I have worn my athletic socks once so far - on a long day of hiking. I loved them! They felt very comfortable and soft on my legs. I haven't had a chance to launder them yet so I can't comment on how they 'come out' of the washer. I plan to order at least one more pair because they are so great!
