I'd never had reason to wear medical compression stockings until very recently. These Allegros were fine, though ran on the second wearing. I was careful when putting them, however I don't know all the tricks. Reading the reviews is helpful for in pointing to resources. Brightlife Direct gave outstanding customer service, following up and replacing a pair at their cost.
Support hose, April 8, 2018 By Anonymous (Northfork, WV)(Verified)
I'm 5'7 and weigh 156 lbs. I ordered X-Tall and the fit was really tight, so I think I might order the next size up next time. I really like these hose though, they are of good quality.

Sheer enough to be dressy, February 11, 2018 By Anonymous (Raleigh, NC)(Verified)
I was a bit skeptical when I ordered these because I thought they'd be too opaque to be dressy, but I was pleasantly surprised. I also worried that they'd be a struggle to get on, but they weren't at all. They did feel a bit short in that the crotch felt slightly low, but I think it's because I didn't get the full stretch when I put them on. Great support with a look dressy enough for evening wear.
Tried other thigh highs, February 3, 2018 By Lori (Hymera, IN)(Verified)
Have been doing compression socks for a few years now. Just found compression thigh highs. The first company I tried the price was good but the stockings were not good quality and didn't last long. Found these while looking for something better. I've gotten 5 pairs and have loved the way they feel, the price and the ease of getting them on. I'll be buying more.
Excellent stockings, January 23, 2018 By Anonymous (Toronto)
I purchased both the regular compression pantyhose and the open-toed one. They are at once indestructible and high fashion looking. They do not look like old lady compression stockings at all. I am very happy with my Allegro products
The Industries Finest, December 31, 2017 By Paul (SCOTTDALE, PA)(Verified)
I haven't totaled all my orders, but no doubt I've purchased over 40 pair of compression pantyhose/stockings from BrightLife over the past 3+ years. I've written several reviews praising BrightLife, their products & their personnel I've dealt with. They truly are the best in the industry. For the past 8 months, I've been forced to wear compression pantyhose/stockings 18-24 hours a day. I just took time to read reviews, especially the few responses expressing dissatisfaction with the compression hose. Based on my experience & what I've read, their dissatisfaction is caused by their inability to get the compression pantyhose donned & pulled up to their waist in a reasonable amount of time. And without the pains caused by other medical problems that complicate donning. I had the same problem when I started wearing compression pantyhose to combat the severe swelling in my lower legs & feet. Both of my legs were reconstructed after an accident several years ago(17 surgeries from waist on down). The trauma to the bones & tissue is taking it's toll as I age. And after 3 back surgeries, bending & reaching very painful & difficult. My problem was complicated by doctors not being well informed on compression hose & donning them. I've had to learn everything on my own. The information I've provided to my doctors, is much more than they have received or been taught. Compression pantyhose in 15-20mmHg & higher are very difficult to donn to someone who's never worn them before. And many of us were given 20-30 or 30-40 & left to learn donning on our own. I had the same problem. 4 years ago, I was at my local medical supply company to get my first 2 pair as prescribed by my doctor. They measured me. Then they handed me a pair of 20-30mmHg's as prescribed, pointed to the dressing room and left me on my own to donn them. It took over 1 hour to get them on & up to my waist. Then I was told it takes time to learn donning & they become easier in time. No one helped me donn them. No one showed me all the little secrets that help. No one told me to watch the donning videos on YouTube. And the instructions on the package are not much help. We are not teenagers donning our 1st pair of pantyhose. We older patients, some male, who have to donn compression pantyhose for the 1st time. The majority of us have one or several medical problems that complicate donning. I'm 5'11", 260 lbs. I held up the 1st pair of compression pantyhose & thought they would fit a toy doll, not me. You want me to get my big butt in those? You've gotta be kidding me. I don't blame the doctors, I blame the industry. Proper training needs to be taught. Not learned over time. And no one ever mentioned donning devices! My opinion was very similar to the unhappy reviews I've read on here. I was happy with the reduced swelling from wearing compression pantyhose, just not happy getting them on. 4 yrs ago, I discovered the Mediven Double Donning Butler for donning compression pantyhose, knee highs & socks. Having read the instructions, I still had questions. Even Mediven needed videos or more detailed training to teach donning. I discovered the videos on YouTube 2 years ago. I must say, there's so much more to know than even the videos explain. Those details we learn over time. The videos will help new wearers. Lymphedema is becoming a much greater medical problem. It's time the industry catches up with proper training to patients & medical professionals. Remember, this is all new to many of us.
Bad fit, December 27, 2017 By Shirley (San Marcos, CA)(Verified)
Even though I am a size 18, I was unable to get these even half way to my knees. I was in pain and very uncomfortable. I gave up, and, the two pair I bought will be thrown out. I bought the queen plus size and getting them over my ankles should not have been this difficult never mind trying for my knees. A poor buy!
Great quality, December 22, 2017 By David White (Enterprise, AL)(Verified)
Always the same great quality of stockings! These pantyhose are always worth rating for their purpose in fit and function!
Allegro, December 22, 2017 By Anonymous (Sun City, AZ)
I have very long legs and Allegro brand is the only brand that fits right.
May be good - but not for us, December 7, 2017 By Anonymous (Waterville, ME)(Verified)
These didn't even come close to fitting correctly. We took all the measurements and ordered the size according to the "calculator" on the website. The crotch was around the knees and very uncomfortable the 1/2 day my mom tried to wear them. She never tried again. Unfortunately, we didn't call or try to send them back. Either the hose size is wrong or the calculations to order them were.
Great pantyhose, December 4, 2017 By David (Enterprise, AL)(Verified)
I recently order two more pairs of Allegro pantyhose and they are simply great wearing pantyhose all the way! Comfortable, durable and feel great! Helps with my fluid retention. I recommend them to anyone with fluid retention and even arthritis.
Simply The Best, December 2, 2017 By Paul (SCOTTDALE, PA)(Verified)
I'm forced to wear compression pantyhose from wake-up to bedtime & often overnight, to combat severe lymphedema in lower legs/feet. I'm almost 6' tall & weigh 260. I wear queen plus. I've found that I have to stretch the pantyhose lengthwise before donning, so they pull-up all the way at crotch & waist. And they'll stay up all day. No tugging. I stretch them when their new & after every washing. I use a Mediven Double Donning Butler which permits me to get even the 20-30's & 30-40's on & pulled-up all the way up in less than 30 seconds. I enjoy doing business with BrightLife. The Allegro products are among the finest available and BrightLife's customer service is unmatched by any competitor. I will buy no other.
Good product, November 5, 2017 By K. Robinson (Staten Island, NY)
The Allegro Sheer support 15-20 mmHg stocking provides just the right amount of support, and the more you wear them, the easier it is to put on. I purchased size Q-Plus, which I'm glad I did because of my height, but I find that the crotch span sits too low, so if you wear a pair of jeans, you get this visible scrunched or gathering effect at the crotch, so it looks like you have something on underneath that doesn't allow you to pull your pants all the way up. Also, I would like it if panty part of this support stocking was extended, to cover the stomach area for a smooth outline when wearing clothes that fit snug. It would also be nice if this stocking were sold in more colors to choose from! Overall, I'm glad that those of us who need extra support have this option!

Hosiery Review, September 15, 2017 By Anonymous (Conroe, TX)(Verified)
I enjoy the hose from your company. They are light enough to wear everyday.
thank you, August 31, 2017 By Beverly(Verified)
I am so happy that I found BrightLife and Allegro compression pantyhose. When Foot Smart sold out to another company and I lost their compression pantyhose, I was forced to try other brands and nothing compares to Allegro which you informed me was made by the same company as those that were sold under the Foot Smart label. Thank you, thank you.
