Compression Socks for Runners and Athletes

 Compression socks are increasingly being used by long-distance runners, skiers and other athletes who find that improved leg circulation helps athletic performance and endurance. We noticed at the Ironman Triathlon this year in Kona, Hawaii that over a quarter of the participants were wearing over-the-calf compression socks. The New York Times recently publiced an article about this trend. Compression socks will increase blood flow, supplying lower leg muscles with more oxygen,resulting in accelerated lactic acid removal and less muscle pain.
