The Mediven Assure Donning Butler is an economical aid to help you put on your compression stockings. This device really helps if you have problems bending at the waist.
Just stretch the stocking over the central metal frame almost to the heel. Make sure the heel of the stocking is toward the back of the butler pointing towards you. From a secure sitting position step into the stocking until your foot is on the floor then gently pull the butler up by the handles. Don't over stretch the stocking. Remove the butler and pull the stocking up your leg with your hands and into position.
Assure Butler has a 4 inch opening and is designed to accommodate average size legs. If you wear wide calf stockings, consider the Medi Big Butler.
NOTE: This item only ships within the Continental United States.

This device has been so much help in getting my compression hose on. I recently had varicose vein procedure and required the hose but also had a spinal compression fracture, which made it impossible to pull up those hose without this donning butler. It really works!

This product reduces the time required to put on 30-40 mg compression stockings by 75%. The unit could be slightly larger as I have to go through some contortions to get my foot into the stocking. Overall, I recommend it.
