Sigvaris Allure now available in Black - Can graduated compression hosiery look beautiful, make you feel elegant, and improve the health of your legs...
Compression arm sleeves are mainly used for the treatment of lymphedema. They can also be prescribed to treat phlebitis, post-thrombotic syndrome, post-liposuction, blood poisoning, tennis elbow and for burn treatment.
Compression: Armsleeves come in 3 compression levels, 15-20, 20-30, and 30-40mmHg. The higher the numbers, the higher the compression. Your doctor or therapist should tell you what compression to purchase. 20-30mmHg is the most commonly prescribed compression.
Top-band or Strap: Armsleeves come with either an elastic or silicone dot band at the top. The silicone dot band is typically more effective in keeping your sleeve in place. If you don't like or can't wear silicone, Mediven and Jobst sleeves are available with a plain elastic top band. Juzo has a sleeve with a shoulder strap.
Sizing: To determine the proper size, you will need to measure your arm in 4 places. Around your wrist, just below your elbow, around the upper arm just below the axilla (armpit), and the length of your arm from the wrist to axilla. See our illustrated measuring guide.
Brands: Each brand has a slightly different look and feel, all use their own unique sizing chart.
