At a super hip 41 that has stayed healthy all her life–it was quite a shock to get the diagnosis (after much testing/opinions/specialist visits post work travel June '11) that I have a "weak saphenous valve". Supposedly hereditary and "most likely" brought on by age. I was like what?! Can I take something herbal do an exercise or change my diet? All said "no" you need to wear 30-40 compression socks—every day while working (sit long) travel and when standing long periods of time (like presenting in meetings or conducting working sessions from white boards). So a whole new fashion entered my routine and it's super difficult. As a No. Cali woman—stockings are insane between May and Oct—and often I get quite down about the whole thing. I look part granny and part who I am. Since this time I have tried many brands and finishes. I LOVE these custom dyed Juzo Dream Knee Highs! They are soft tolerable compared to some other brands and don't look too thick at the ankles (like a granny from some retro movie). I would highly recommend these. The plum is a great color (looks hip/modern with tall gray boots or black ballet flats—and even a grayish/beige Paul Green slight wedge ballet shoe). Now if these only came in thigh highs (so I wouldn't look quite so insane wearing dresses skirts and the like during summer months) I'd be in business! Or maybe weaves that resemble chunky cashmere cable knit socks (which now I have to wear on top and not feel sadly when it is super cold). Maybe Juzo we'll see this and consider users that are younger and do care about fashion? Someone really needs to. Thumbs up—way up for us fashionistas!
