Compression arm sleeves are mainly used for the treatment of lymphedema. They can also be prescribed to treat phlebitis, post-thrombotic syndrome, post-liposuction, blood poisoning, tennis elbow and for burn treatment.
Armsleeves come in 3 compression levels, 15-20, 20-30, and 30-40mmHg. The higher the numbers, the higher the compression. Your doctor or therapist should tell you what compression to purchase. 20-30mmHg is the most commonly prescribed compression.
