Allegro short length surgical weight knee highs are designed to fit a lower leg length of 15.5" or less. Available with a closed or open toe, and wide calf in beige only. The Allegro brand provides quality comfort and support identical to the famous brands that cost two to three times more.
Firm gradient compression of 20-30mmHg helps improve blood flow, prevent edema (swelling), and reduce the discomfort caused by moderate to severe varicose veins. It helps in recovery from sclerotherapy and other post-surgical procedures. Made from 80% nylon and 20% spandex in USA.
Great price but made for people with big feet!, June 21, 2017 By Anonymous(Verified)
The fabric is soft and smooth and at least my toes don't get squished in these closed-toed compression stockings (I have a size 8 1/2, extra wide width foot) because there's an excessive amount of room in the foot. Unfortunately you can't adjust the excess. You can't pull the excess up because the heel area has promenant heel markings that are hard enough to cover up in your shoe. If you don't wear open-toed shoes you could pull the excess fabric up and fold it under your toes and hope it doesn't slowly ride up and collect at the ankles. Maybe they're made for men?
Actually stay up!, June 18, 2017 By Anonymous (Roanoke)(Verified)

I think these will do nicely after my procedure. They are a nice surgical weight and the fit is great.
Allegro Surgical Knee HighShort 20-30mmHg, May 17, 2017 By Anonymous (McLean, VA)(Verified)
Slightly too long, even for a short length, toes rather cramped, but knit quality excellent, very good support, legs feel great at the end of the day. And they last a LONG time, even with repeated washings. Price is good, too, compared with other brands.
Too long, April 22, 2017 By Anonymous (Troy, PA)
I ordered the short and they were standard size, way to long for a short person
Great purchase, April 1, 2017 By Anonymous (NY)(Verified)

LOVE Allegro knee high compression stockings!, March 31, 2017 By Catherine S. (Humble, TX)(Verified)
I have been a customer of BrightLIfe for many years. They have the best knee high compression stockings I have ever worn. They hold up well wash after wash and now that they offer the short calf length sizing, the best fit for me as well.
Great Price, March 1, 2017 By Catherine Owens (Branchville, SC)(Verified)
This is the first support product that I has wore and it is just what I expected. I'm very glad that I used the app to find the right size. I ordered a short and it is almost too long. I am especially happy with the price.

Allegro Compression Stockings, February 22, 2017 By Anonymous (Avenel, NJ)(Verified)
I have very swollen calves and have searched a great many stores for my size. I am very pleased with my purchase and they fit me very well. I would recommend them to anyone.
Comfy toes, January 29, 2017 By Jane (Loganville, GA)(Verified)
I buy 4 pair of these every January and July and recommend them to anyone who needs compression hose. The special "toe pockets" keep them comfortable throughout the day, never squeezing your toenails toward your tonsils as some other compression hose do. Was very happy when a short became available as these fit me better than the regular length.
Great fit, January 26, 2017 By Barbara (Hamilton, OH)(Verified)
I have heavy calves and could not find a good fit that didn't pinch or roll down. These were a great fit with a good variety of sizes available
Allegro Surgical Knee High 20-30mmHg - SHORT, January 5, 2017 By chris henington (ilwaco, WA)(Verified)
Been buying these for years and have had no issues with them, saying that i do wish they would last a little longer
Disappointed, December 30, 2016 By Anonymous (Shelbyville, MI)(Verified)
Disappointed that short is still too long. If the sock is not pulled up (stretched) it isn't doing it's job. If it is folded over it cuts into calf. Is there any company that considers "short" people?
allegro surgical knee high 20-30mmhg short, December 23, 2016 By Bob (Plant CIty, FL)(Verified)
I love the short style no more cutting into back of knee
Go to garment, December 19, 2016 By Janelle Rusin (cincinnati, OH)
as a lymphedema therapist this is a great garment that have recommended multiple times for patients to order when they have mild to moderate swelling. The garment is a great value for the price and arrives quickly.
Finally !!!!!!, November 12, 2016 By Anonymous (Dover, NH)
I've been sentenced to compression hose for roughly a decade. In that time, I have tried many different makes & styles, all of which were uncomfortable to some extent, all of which were a struggle to put on or remove. Until I tried the Allegro Surgical *short* knee high with a wide calf. These reduce the swelling as well or better than products 3x their price while *never* causing me discomfort. *LOVE* 'em - truly a noticeable improvement in my quality of life. Everyone associated with Bright Life should be proud of their house products!
perfect fit, October 31, 2016 By Teresa Brown (Vernal, UT)
I have tried to find compression socks for many years. I don't even dare guess how much money I had spent before I gave up. Then recently medical necessity sent me searching again. By searching for calf size I came across this website and I am so happy I tried these. I have ordered 3 pair of knee highs and couldn't be happier. I wear them comfortably every day!
Everything is too long, October 25, 2016 By Tanell Moore (Memphis, TN)(Verified)
Hello, I ordered the short stocking because I'm only 5'3 but unfortunately even those are too long for me and when I wear them I either have to tuck the bottom causing my heel not to match up with the stocking or I will have to match my heel with the heel of the stocking and roll the top down which becomes very uncomfortable through out the day because it pinches my skin where it is rolled. So could you please make an extra short version of you stocking because I do love your brand, they are affordable and lasting.
short length still too long but worked around problem, October 9, 2016 By Anonymous (Bentonville, AR)(Verified)
I am 5' tall. Still waaayyyy too long for my short legs. I first folded over to figure out cutting line, then marked lightly w/ a sharpie. I ran a line of fray check (sewing notion) just below the cutting line. I let the fray check dry, then cut off 4 INCHES! Since there is now no band, I used the "stay-on" roll on as suggested by another reviewer. So far, they have not sagged at all. The toes are baggy also, but I can deal w/ that. I imagine they will wash up fine in a mesh bag.
Short is still too long, September 18, 2016 By Anonymous (N. Grafton, MA)(Verified)
Absolutely LOVE the comfort of these stockings but length is a big issue. I am 5'1 and the XL short are way too big in the foot (I wear s women's size 10 shoe) and 1.5 inches too long so I cannot wear them. Too much material to smooth to make comfortable without leaving big ridge in my calf.
Socks are too long, but great customer service, September 11, 2016 By Maria (Toronto)
I was really looking forward to the short version of these socks but when they came the socks where too long in the leg and foot. I was really disappointed and originally gave these socks a much less favorable review. BrightLife contacted me soon after my original review and gave me a full refund for the socks without me having to ship them back. They also told me they looked into the issue with the length and they're going to fix it with the manufacturer. So even though the socks are too long, BrightLife's great customer service made up for it.
