Less expensive solution, October 22, 2016 By Anonymous (Quincy, IL)
During open heart surgery veins were taken from my leg resulting in a prescription for compression socks. My first pair came from a medical supply store, were durable, and expensive. The cotton ones from Allegro half as expensive, fit well, and were comfortable. However they are unraveling at the top and developing a hole under the heel. This was dissspointing but not unexpected based on the price.
Unisex Cotton by Allegro, October 21, 2016 By Denise E Lee (Metter, GA)(Verified)
Could not use the ones I received because they were "Men's" and too big in the foot and too long in the length. :-(
Best Value in Compression Socks, September 1, 2016 By Pete (West St. Paul, MN)
These are my favorite compression socks. They are more breathable than fully synthetic ones and they are loose on the toes to keep them comfy. They are also the best value around, and made in USA!
socks help reduce dizziness, August 13, 2016 By Barbara Ayer (Palo Alto, CA)
This is the first time my husband has tried using compression socks to help raise his blood pressure and prevent dizzy spells. He has worn the socks for one week and he has experienced fewer and milder dizzy spells, so we are very pleased.
toe box too big but like the idea of cotton, August 7, 2016 By Anonymous (Ashland, OR)
I have been buying the unisex or men's styles because they are cheaper and come in the colors I want. So many of your women's styles are "Sheer." but I hate the look and feel of Sheer. The toe boxes are huge and make all my shoes too small and my toes hurt. So I am cutting off the excess and sewing them closed again on my sewing machine. I expect this will severely shorten the life of these socks, but I am leaving for a trip and can't wait for you to ship replacements. Your stockings are far too expensive for me to purchase regularly, but happily I hope to retire soon and will not be working long days on my feet much longer.

God, but somewhat too long.
Cotton means comfort, July 30, 2016 By Nancy Tella (Medfield, MA)
Fantastic product. Great value. Superb comfort. This high cotton compression sock is more comfortable than any other compression sock you've ever worn.
Excellent Continuity, July 22, 2016 By HCM (bellevue, WA)
I have used these support socks for many years and always been fully satisfied. The cotton component makes them noticeably easier to use.
Allegro essential Cotton, July 5, 2016 By Anonymous (Laval)
Love these socks, the cotton fabric is very comfortable. I was looking for cotton especially in summer, it keeps you fresh and doesn't let you sweet. will definitely reorder.
Foot runs big, May 1, 2016 By Anonymous (Burdett, NY)
Great material and overall quality! Good price. These are much better than the comparable sock offered by Ames Walker. Tan color is good. My only complaint is that the balloon toe in the foot is too long. I wear a size 8.5 to 9 women's shoe and ordered the medium like the size chart indicated, but the foot was too long. The rest of the sock fits well. I'm afraid that if I order the small that the leg portion of the sock will be too short, as I have a wider calf.
Good product, March 31, 2016 By Anonymous (Manassas, VA)
Good fit in the toe area.
Allegro socks, March 31, 2016 By Anonymous (San Jose, CA)
The web site is a bit difficult to navigate so I called and was fortunate enough to talk to a lady named Rose. She mentioned Therafirm and Allegro and suggested ordering one pair of each. After trying them both I opted for the Allegro because they were easier to put on. I sent the Therafirm back and received a credit on my credit card. I wound up ordering more of the Allegro.
New socks, March 22, 2016 By Anonymous (San Jose, CA)
After seeing my doctor I found out I needed socks with a higher compression. I was a bit confused by all the options on the website so I called and talked to Rose at Brightlife. She suggested that I order one each of Allegro and Therafirm. Long story short the Allegro were much easier to put on so I returned the Therafirm. Subsequently I ordered 5 more pairs of the Allegro socks.
Difficult to put on., March 13, 2016 By Anonymous (LONG BEACH, CA)
I bought these for my husband who pronounced them too difficult to put on. Loudly and often.
Ordering more, March 11, 2016 By Susanne Oakley (Auburn, CA)
First time for husband wearing compression socks and he was able to put these on and wear them and was very pleased with them. Since doctor ordered them was fearful if he couldn't get them on or he didn't like he wouldn't end up wearing them, but I have trouble getting him to take them off to laundry so ordering more. They are comfortable and soft and so also ordered a pair for me too.
Not comfortable, February 11, 2016 By Anonymous (Puyallup, WA)
Didn't care for these at all. Expected them to be softer, as they are a cotton blend. They feel like pure nylon. Returning.
Love these socks!, February 11, 2016 By Anonymous (WAKE FOREST, NC)
These socks are warm and comfortable. I especially appreciate the extra room in the toes. No pain in my toes, but plenty of support for my ankles and calves.
Allegro Essential, February 10, 2016 By Davidson (Houston, TX)
These socks seem to be working well so far. Ordered the large with the wide calf. This must be a new size. Fits the foot better than the x-large. Good Price. If they hold up we will be buying more. Thank you for a good product at a good price.
Allegro Essential - Unisex Cotton Compression Sock 20-30mmHg - # 111, February 3, 2016 By Anonymous (Henderson, NV)
This is the first time using compression socks. After working many hours standing all day I decided to buy them. After the first try, there is immediate pain relief on legs and feet. I'm 5'3 with shoe size 7.5, S fits perfectly (a little long, nothing important).
Only 3 stars because the Allegro Essential - Ladies Trouser Socks 20-30mmHg - #106 are nicer and tighter than this model.
Allegro Essential - Unisex Cotton Compression Sock 20-30mmHg- # 111 (Black-X-Large), February 3, 2016 By Anonymous (Henderson, NV)

Allegro Esssential 20-30 compression, December 22, 2015 By Mike Gagnier (Everson, WA)
I love these socks!!! I have tried several name brand compression socks and these are the only one that will stay up all day at work or play. I would rate them even higher but I have found the heals tend to wear out faster that the other brands. This is my 3 reorder. I would highly recommend you give them a try.
Compression Socks, November 30, 2015 By Anonymous (Columbus, OH)
These socks are great and provide the compression I need in the areas I need it. However, the toes seem to wear out pretty quickly.

Couldn't be happier. great fit, great compression!
Fantastic socks, November 17, 2015 By Anonymous (Medfield, MA)

OK, but..., November 11, 2015 By Karilyn Weidner (Middletown, PA)
i returned these as they were too big (long) for me. they felt soft, so i'm sure they would have been comfortable especially in cold weather.
