Childhood dream... . That's how I answer people who ask how I got into the compression hosiery business. Actually, I was told to buy a pair of support socks and was flabbergasted by the price and the difficulty in finding a good selection. That was in 1999, the pioneering days of internet shopping. So I did my research, met the manufacturers, and recruited my tech-savvy business parnter, Peter Smiley. A year later we had built a web site, created a catalog, and BrightLife Direct began doing business out of my basement.

Today, BrightLife Direct consists of nine vibrant and intelligent people from diverse backgrounds who know virtually everything about compression hosiery - and are really happy to share that with you. We must be doing something right. We now have over 4,000 square feet of office and warehouse space on Connecticut Avenue in Washington, DC. And many tens of thousands of very satisfied customers. |
