Orthotics are available as inserts to fit most any shoe and come in a wide variety of styles for different activities.  There are heat moldable insoles, gel heel inserts and specialized orthotic insoles to improve performance when running.  There are also shoes, sandals, and flip flops with built-in orthotic insoles from Orthaheel and Sole.  Products from both of these companies have been approved by the American Podiatric Medical Association.
