Being a UK resident dependent on our National Health Service's not very generous allocation of these compression stockings (essential for me with cardiac and venous problems, as I should be bedbound otherwise) I need to buy some extra pairs from overseas to keep up with laundry and so on.
I have found Brightlife to be reliable, quick and efficient suppliers of these compression stockings, and the US manufactured Mediven grade 3 stockings they sell are identical with my German-manufactured ones prescribed here, so I am very happy.
My only problem is the huge customs charge, 20 to 30 percent, levied by our import authorities on these already (and, of course, necessarily) expensive items. Surely, as essential health equipment, they ought to be duty free? Sill, I haven't yet found anything to be done about that!
