At the first wearing, I was impressed. The fabric is soft and pleasant to the touch and that first day, they fit me well and stayed in place just fine.
I washed and dried them once, following the instructions carefully, and then put them on to wear again. What a different experience! The perfect fit was gone. The stockings had stretched 3-4 inches in length (despite careful handling). This added length forced me to place the silicone band higher on my leg, and within a few minutes the silicone band folded itself in half, and then rolled into a painful "tourniquet" near the top of the stocking. Soon after, there was another painful bunching at the knee, and even at the ankle it began to cut off the circulation.
I have less expensive thigh-highs from Jobst which work perfectly even after several washings, so I will stick to that brand. This product was an expensive disappointment..
