I am a professional cook, and I was very happy to find these, as they are the first support hose I have ever worn which are at all comfortable to wear in a restaurant kitchen. It's a very uncomfortable environment at times, even WITHOUT support hose. However, these are actually not hot at all. I can tell that they're on, but it isn't a horrible hot feeling like I've had with other support hose. For a long time I didn't even wear any hose because I just could not stand it, and I developed venous stasis ulcers again as a result. So these hose seemed too good to be true.
NOW, here's the bad part- these have just not been durable, at least for me. I am very careful about how I put the hose on and take them off, and I hand-wash them faithfully. And yet my first pair lasted only three months, before one developed a huge hole in the top. I then bought a second pair, and I have had them for not even TWO months, and I just noticed a small hole on the seam of one of the feet. I am pretty disgusted.
These cost about $60.00 a pair, and that's just too much money for me to lay out every couple of months. So I don't know what to do- I guess Ill have to find some other brand of hose...I'm sure they won't be as comfortable as these. It's a shame. I haven't contacted Bright Life- I doubt if they'd be able to do anything for me- I think these hose aren't really made to last. It's really too bad- they really are comfortable. I guess if you're wealthy they'd be fine- buy a new pair every couple of months..
